crawlers are pretty fun, aren't they? I have one that I am restoring
and I have got to the turn around now. After I have spent $3,300
on the undercarrage, final drives, and tracks. I had the tracks
rebuilt for a cost of $1,300. The engine was just over-hauled
when I got it and now I know why he stopped there. I even took
a Cat guy with me to look at it since this is my first crawler,
and I have found out that Caterpillar's are a lot different
from John Deere's. But I have learned
a lot, boy have I learned alot. It will go along with my John
Deere series real nice. I have 24 two cylinder John Deere tractors
and most are the first numbered series. I have every size and
now am workin on the different fuels and configurations. Here
are a couple pictures of my crawler." |
